I swear this project started out with just an attempted design for a simple owl.

With all the hype around Pokemon Sun and Moon, I thought I might jump the train as well! I took the original artwork that was released and used it towards drafting the three starters.

I had a friend in a group chat telling us about how she couldn’t waiting for the Rotom Pokedex, and I ended up integrating it into the project. Once I had the wallpaper for my laptop, I wanted to make something for my phone too. I ended making the Rotom for my lockscreen and the 3 starters alone. The only problem was that Popplio just seemed extremely awkward but then again, the lil guy was awkward to begin with!

While playing Pokemon Black and White 2, I kept thinking - just how many Audinos have I hunted down just to level up? The whole generation of games was really about urbanization and how it impacts the world around us.

I started to think about what the government did to prevent the extinction of the creatures and came up with this poster! It was a lot of fun to work on especially the logo for the Unova Parks Conservation Association. I took inspiration from the National Parks Conservation Association Logo and originally had both a Beartic and a Cubchoo. Because of the negative space and the fact that there wasn’t enough contrast I had to switch the Cubchoo for a Deerling and it worked out just fine!
